Anthropologie Registry Thank You List: Who Bought What

You can't see who bought a gift from the Anthropologie registry itself. Anthropologie's registry FAQ says your list updates when an item is purchased, but it describes no way to see the buyer and no thank-you tracker. To get names, email registry@anthropologie.com, call 800.362.4073 or use the website's chat, then match the answer against gift messages and packing slips.
Forum threads on this question mostly stop there. The rest of the job is getting from a list of names to cards in the mail, and this guide covers both. One thing up front: ShipNote can't pull purchaser data out of Anthropologie. It works from whatever list you can get.
Disclosure: ShipNote is our product. Anthropologie's registry details were checked against its own FAQ and help pages on September 14, 2026.
Why can't I see who bought from my Anthropologie registry?
Because the registry tracks items, not buyers. Anthropologie says that whenever a gift is purchased, in store, online or in its app, "your registry will be updated within minutes." That update marks the item as bought. Nothing in the registry FAQ describes a view of who bought it.
Couples who have been through it say the same. On a WeddingWire thread about the Anthropologie registry, one poster wrote in 2022: "There is no 'Thank you list' tracker on their website."
One line in the FAQ is easy to misread. "For privacy reasons, we keep this hidden" is about the couple's shipping address, which a guest buying from your registry never sees. It is not a rule about hiding buyers from you, and it doesn't stop you from asking.
Is there an Anthropologie thank-you manager?
Not that we could find. Thank You Manager is Crate & Barrel's name for its registry tracker, and Macy's calls its version the Gift Tracker. Both terms show up in Anthropologie searches, but Anthropologie's registry FAQ describes no equivalent, so the list has to come from somewhere else.
It is a long-standing wish. That WeddingWire thread opened in 2018 with a bride matching gifts to invoices by hand and adding that "it would be a lot easier if they had a thank you manager or something!" Six years of replies later, the answer in the thread is still to ask.
How do I get the purchaser list from Anthropologie?
Start with Anthropologie's registry team, which couples report will tell you who bought what. Then check each box's gift message and packing slip as you open it, and ask guests directly about anything still unmatched. Most lists need all three: the team's answer, the boxes to confirm it, and a quick text for the rest.
| Source | What it gives you | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Registry team (phone, chat or email) | A buyer's name for each gift | Results vary, and one couple reported in-store purchases that couldn't be traced |
| Gift message | The guest's own note, often signed | Only there if the guest added one |
| Packing slip | The order that shipped, without prices | One couple reported half their boxes arriving without one |
| Asking the guest | A definite answer | One slightly awkward text per gift |
1. Ask the registry team
Anthropologie lists registry@anthropologie.com and 800.362.4073 for registry questions. Its FAQ doesn't promise purchaser names, but couples on that WeddingWire thread report getting them by phone, email and chat. "If you call them they will let you know who sent what!" one wrote in 2018. In 2022, another emailed the registry address and had a name back "within 15 mins on a weekend," and in 2024 a third said the website's chat team was "able to send me the list within 10 minutes." Results vary, though: in 2021 a poster who called was told customer service could see only which items had shipped, and earlier in 2022 another found the registry email answered by a bot. If one channel stalls, try another.
Ask about every gift in one message rather than one at a time. The reply doesn't need to be tidy, because you'll paste it into ShipNote as it arrives.
2. Check gift messages and packing slips
Open boxes with the list beside you. Anthropologie's general FAQ lets shoppers add a gift message at checkout, and a note in the box is the fastest confirmation there is.
Packing slips help too, and Anthropologie sends them without prices. But read its advice to shoppers closely: add a gift message at checkout "to ensure your package includes a packing slip." A box with no message may arrive with no slip either. That fits the 2022 WeddingWire report that "at least half my gifts showed up without a packing slip."
3. Ask the guest
For anything left over, ask. The same 2022 poster had three gifts the team said were bought in store, and the buyer couldn't be traced even with a tracking number. A short text settles it: "We got the most beautiful serving bowl and want to thank the right person!"
Keep everything in one running list: name, gift, and an address if you have one. If you also registered somewhere else, merge the registries into one list before you start. For the addresses themselves, see where registries keep gift-giver addresses and what to do when yours doesn't.
How do I turn the list into thank-you cards?
Paste it into ShipNote. The registry team's email, a spreadsheet or your own notes can go in as one messy block, and AI pulls out each name, gift and address. You write one message, and ShipNote prints, stamps and mails every postcard the next business day, with First-Class postage included.
-
Start a wedding card. On ShipNote, pick the wedding occasion and a postcard. No account needed.
-
Write one message. Put
[RECIPIENT]and[GIFT_NAME]where the name and gift go, and ShipNote fills both in on every card. Any single card can be edited by hand for the people who deserve more than a template. -
Paste your list. At the Add Recipients step, paste the list and let the AI extract it. US addresses only.

-
Fill the gaps. Guests you couldn't find an address for stay on the list, marked Incomplete.

When you press Next: Review, those rows are flagged, and each flagged row offers "Don't have their address? Request it with a link" so you can send that guest a link asking for it. If a few are slow to answer, mail the cards you can address today and send the rest when they come in.

Check out. ShipNote is $2.49 per card, or $1.99 each at 10 or more, First-Class postage included. Cards are mailed the next business day and arrive in 4–7 business days.

Frequently asked questions
Can you see who bought gifts on an Anthropologie registry?
Not on the registry itself. Anthropologie says your registry updates within minutes of a purchase, whether in store, online or in its app, but its registry FAQ describes no way to see the buyer. Ask the registry team at registry@anthropologie.com or 800.362.4073, and check gift messages and packing slips as boxes arrive.
What is the Anthropologie registry email and phone number?
Anthropologie lists registry@anthropologie.com and 800.362.4073 for registry questions. Its FAQ doesn't promise purchaser names, but couples on WeddingWire report getting them by phone, email and chat, one within 10 minutes. Others were told only which items had shipped, or got a bot reply. Ask about every gift in one message.
What if an Anthropologie gift arrived with no packing slip?
It happens. Anthropologie tells shoppers to add a gift message at checkout to ensure the package includes a packing slip, so a box without a message may have no slip. Give the registry team the item and any order or tracking number. One couple reported in-store purchases that couldn't be traced; for those, ask the guests.
Can ShipNote pull purchaser names from Anthropologie?
No. ShipNote has no connection to Anthropologie and can't see who bought from your registry. It works from the list you get: paste the registry team's reply, a spreadsheet or your own notes, and AI pulls out the names, gifts and any addresses. Rows without an address are flagged when you press Next: Review, with a link to request it.
How much do ShipNote wedding thank-you postcards cost?
$2.49 per card, or $1.99 each at 10 or more, with First-Class postage included and no account needed. ShipNote prints, stamps and mails every card the next business day, and they arrive in 4–7 business days. Addresses must be in the US.
