How to send thank-you cards from your Joy registry

    Open Joy's Gift Tracker

    Sign in at withjoy.com, open your registry's Manage page, and click the Track tab. For physical gifts Joy shows who purchased the item and the count; for cash funds it shows how much each guest contributed, along with any gift note they left at checkout.

    Copy the giver list

    Joy doesn't offer a download of the Gift Tracker itself, so select the list and copy it (Cmd+A / Cmd+C works). Heads up on group gifts and cash sent by Venmo or PayPal: guests confirm those themselves on Joy, so double-check big-ticket items against your own records.

    Export addresses from Joy's guest list

    Addresses live in Joy's guest-list tool, not the registry — especially if you used Joy's Contact Collector link to gather them before save-the-dates. Open Guest List and click Export All Guests to download the CSV with mailing addresses.

    Paste both into ShipNote

    Drop the giver list into the Thankees screen — the parser pulls names, gifts, and gift notes. Then paste or type addresses from the guest-list CSV; they save to your address book for anniversaries and holidays later.

Not from the registry — Joy's checkout collects a guest's name, email, and an optional gift note, no mailing address. Addresses live in Joy's separate guest list (its Contact Collector link gathers them), which exports to CSV. ShipNote lets you paste from both and merges them into one batch.

Joy's built-in thank-yous are emails sent to the giver's inbox. A wedding gift usually deserves paper: a printed card with your photo, a stamp, and a trip through the actual mail. ShipNote keeps Joy's convenience — the gift record — and adds the part email can't do.

Name the fund and what the money did — "your gift covered the snorkeling day in Belize" — and skip the dollar amount. Joy's Gift Tracker shows each cash contribution, so you can be specific without guessing. ShipNote lets cash-fund and physical-gift messages differ within one batch.
