The designs

A nativity, two carols and Isaiah 9:6

Each front is illustrated, so there is no photo to find. Your name line and the year print under the art.

The back

It starts with a Christmas blessing you can keep

All four designs start the back with this message. Keep it or rewrite it.

The message it starts with

Dear [RECIPIENT], Merry Christmas! As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we are thankful for you and pray the peace and joy of this season fill your home. Wishing you every blessing in the new year. With love, [YOUR NAME]

[RECIPIENT] changes on every card: it becomes each person's name, so “The Delgado Family” on your list opens “Dear Delgado Family”. [YOUR NAME] fills in from the name on your return address; a church can type its own sign-off over it instead.

Want to say something different to one person? You can rewrite any single card before you pay, and the rest keep the shared message.

Scripture

Bible verses for the back of the card

Type a verse into your message as its own line, under the greeting. These are from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.

  • “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

    Luke 2:11, KJV

  • “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

    Luke 2:14, KJV

  • “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.”

    Matthew 2:10, KJV

  • “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

    Matthew 1:23, KJV

  • “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

    John 3:16, KJV

  • “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

    Isaiah 9:6, KJV

Even Isaiah 9:6, the longest here, fits on the back beside the starter message at a comfortable print size.

Your whole list

Sending to a mixed list?

Each order prints one design for every card in it. So a mixed list is two orders.

Send a religious card to family and church friends, and a Season's Greetings or Happy Holidays card to colleagues and neighbors from the Christmas and New Year's cards. Each order keeps its own list, message and mail day.

For a family that celebrates Christmas and Hanukkah, there is a Hanukkah & Christmas card with a Star of David and a Christmas star, on the Hanukkah cards page.

Want your family photo on the front? These four are illustrated, so pick one of the Merry Christmas photo designs on our holiday cards page and put the blessing or a verse in the message on the back.

Frequently Asked Questions

What families and churches ask before they send the list.

Order by December 14 for the cards to arrive by Christmas. We mail every card the next business day, and most arrive 4–7 business days after that. USPS's own advice is to mail First-Class by December 17. You can also order now and pick a later mail day at checkout.

No. They are 4x6 postcards that we print, address and mail for you, one to each person on your list, with your message on the back. If you want a box of blank cards to write yourself, a stationery shop is the place; this is for the list you would rather not address by hand.

Neither in particular. The four fronts are a nativity scene, two Christmas carols and a verse from Isaiah, with no denominational symbols. You write the message on the back, so it can say whatever your tradition says.

Yes, on the back: type it into your message. We suggest the King James Version, which is public domain. The Unto Us design already prints the opening of Isaiah 9:6 on the front.

Not on these four: they are illustrated designs with no photo slot. For a photo, pick one of the Merry Christmas photo designs on the holiday cards page, and put the blessing or a verse in the message on the back.

Yes. Paste or upload the member list, write one message and sign it from the church. Each card is addressed to its own household, and the price falls to $1.99 a card from 10 cards, postage included: $199.00 for 100 households.

Each order prints one design for everyone on it, though you can change the message on any single card. For a list that mixes the two, place two orders: a religious card for some, a Season’s Greetings or Happy Holidays card for the rest.

$2.49 a card, or $1.99 a card from 10 cards up. That covers printing, the address, USPS First-Class postage and the mailing. There is no subscription, no account and no minimum.

About 15 minutes for a typical list: pick a design, write the message, paste the list. Every address is checked against USPS records before anything prints.
