The back
Already written, and each card names its own reason
Every card starts with this note. Where the list says what someone did, the card says it back; where it does not, the card thanks them for their kindness and support. Keep it, edit it, or write your own.
The message it starts with
Dear [RECIPIENT], Thank you for [WHAT THEY DID]. Your thoughtfulness has meant more to our family than words can say. With heartfelt thanks, [YOUR NAME]

Flowers
Thank you for the white lilies. They were beautiful, and they meant so much to all of us.
A donation
Thank you for your gift to the hospice. It is a kindness that will go on helping people, and we are grateful.
Meals
Thank you for the meals. We did not have to think about dinner for a week, and that was a kindness we felt every evening.
The pallbearers
Thank you for serving as a pallbearer. We know it was not easy, and we will not forget it.
The officiant
Thank you for leading the service. Your words gave us comfort that day, and they still do.
Someone who travelled
Thank you for making the trip. Seeing you there meant more than we can say.
The whole list
Thank you for your kindness and support. Your thoughtfulness has meant more to our family than words can say.
A late card
Thank you for the flowers. We are later with this note than we meant to be, and your patience has been one more kindness.
