Does Minted Mail Cards for You? Yes, Sometimes (2026)

Yes, sometimes. Minted has a service called Mail It For Me that prints your cards, stamps them and mails them straight to your recipients. The catch is in Minted's own help article: the service is "available in very limited quantities" while it rolls out. If the option isn't at your checkout, your cards ship to you instead, and the stamping is yours.

Will Minted mail my cards for me?

Only if Mail It For Me is offered on your order. Minted says it is introducing the service gradually, so the option appears at checkout only when it is available. When it is, Minted prints, stamps and mails each card to its recipient. When it isn't, the whole order ships to you and you post the cards yourself.

The same answer holds for Christmas and holiday cards. The help article makes no separate promise for holiday orders, so a December batch is in the same position as any other: mailed for you if the option appears, shipped to you if it doesn't.

Two things the article doesn't say: which card formats qualify, and what the service costs. Minted's 2026 holiday postage guide doesn't mention Mail It For Me either. Budget as if the cards will arrive at your door, and treat the mailing as a bonus.

What does it cost to have Minted cards mailed?

$2.45 to $2.58 a card for 45 thank-yous, before any mailing fee. A Minted thank-you postcard was $1.80 each on 45 plus a $0.65 stamp, a flat thank-you card $1.76 plus $0.82. Minted publishes no Mail It For Me price. ShipNote is $1.99 a card on 10 or more, with First-Class postage included and every card mailed for you.

With the stamp added, every Minted card we priced, on orders of 25 to 100, costs more than ShipNote's $1.99, and a ShipNote card is mailed for you as well. Minted's card prices before the stamp: a thank-you postcard $1.80 each on 45 and $1.41 on 100, a flat thank-you card $1.76 on 45, a holiday postcard $1.96 on 50, and a foil-pressed holiday card $3.84 on 25 and $3.12 on 50. The postcard figures are for the first design on each of Minted's postcard pages, the foil-pressed figures for the first foil-pressed design on its holiday card page, and Minted's 2026 postage guide says square shapes and wax seals push the stamp to $1.31.

What do you need before Minted can address or mail anything?

An Address Book. Minted's recipient addressing works from contacts saved in your Minted account, and you fill it by typing addresses in one at a time, uploading a spreadsheet in its template, or sending guests a request link by email or text. Recipient address printing is free, in a design and font that matches your card.

The template has seven columns (Name on Envelope, Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip and Country), and Minted's instructions say the name column can't be blank and the sheet can't have blank rows. For a holiday list you reuse every year, that is a one-time job and a good one, with one catch: Minted can't export the address book to a spreadsheet, only print it or save it as a PDF, so moving your Christmas card list somewhere else means copying it out of the PDF. For 80 wedding guests whose addresses are scattered across a registry page and a pile of shipping emails, it is the slow part of the whole task, done before a single card is designed. The help article also doesn't list which card formats Mail It For Me covers, so don't plan around a particular format being eligible.

Where does ShipNote differ from Minted?

For the card itself. Minted sells designs from its independent artist community, fold-over cards with room to write inside, foil-pressed holiday cards, and envelopes printed with matching recipient addressing. If the card is meant to be kept, as a folded, foil-pressed design in a lined envelope, Minted is the better buy and ShipNote doesn't compete.
