Best Place to Order Wedding Thank-You Cards (2026 Prices)

13 min readby ShipNote Team
The four questions that decide where to order wedding thank-you cards: mailing, addresses, messages and cost, beside two wedding thank-you photo postcards

The best place to order wedding thank-you cards depends on who will mail them. For a registry list where each card names the guest's gift, ShipNote prints, addresses and mails every card with postage. For a design-led card you stamp yourself, Minted, Truly Engaging or Paper Culture. For the lowest card price, a Zola or Truly Engaging postcard.

We read every price on each company's own site on October 23, 2026, at list price with no promo code. ShipNote is our product, and this page compares it with the places couples order their thank-yous from.

How do the best places to order wedding thank-you cards compare?

Ask four things of each company: will it mail the cards, will it address them from your list, can each guest's card say something different, and what does a card cost once it is in the mail? Five of these ten address and mail cards to your guests.

Most card shops print beautifully and ship the box to you. ShipNote mails every card, and writes each guest's name and gift into its note.

Four other companies in the table address and mail every card at a published price: Walgreens Photo, Shutterfly, Snapfish and Postable. On 50 and on 100 cards (Snapfish on 40 instead of 50), ShipNote's $1.99 with postage was below all four.

Each figure is the company's list price on October 23, 2026, at 50 and 100 cards where it sells those quantities, with no promo code and no sitewide sale applied. For a card you mail yourself we added the stamp: 65¢ for a postcard, 82¢ for a card in an envelope. For a company that mails, we added its mailing fee, plus the stamp where that fee leaves postage out (Postable's FAQ prices cards "plus stamp"). Walgreens Photo's Mail-for-Me price already includes the postage. Shutterfly's business guide says its $1.49 includes postage and its help page says postage is additional, so its row shows both. Snapfish lists $1.54 on the product page and $1.49 on its Mail for Me page; we used the higher. Shipping a box of cards to you is not in any figure. Several shops were running sales on October 23 (Shutterfly, Paper Culture, Basic Invite and Postable applied one on the page), so the price you pay may be lower than the list prices here. Postable also sells prepaid credits, which brought its mailed card to $4.25 on 50 and 100 when we priced them on September 30, 2026.

Why is ShipNote our pick for a registry list?

Because the hard part of wedding thank-yous is not the card: it is writing 100 notes, addressing 100 cards and getting them to a post office. ShipNote takes the list you already have, writes each guest's name and gift into your note, then prints, addresses and mails the card, for $1.99 a card on 10 or more, postage included.

How it works:

  1. Pick a design, with or without your photo. Every card is a postcard, so there is no envelope to stuff or seal.
  2. Write one note with a place for the guest's name and their gift. Every card fills in its own guest and gift, so the note to your aunt thanks her for the stand mixer and the note to your college roommate thanks him for the camping chairs.
  3. Paste your registry list. Copy the purchased-gifts page from Amazon, Zola, The Knot, Babylist or any other registry and paste it as is. ShipNote pulls each guest's name, gift and any shipping address out of the raw text and checks each address.
  4. Review every card and change any one that should say more, then pay. For a guest with no address, ShipNote gives you a link to send them so they can type it in.

ShipNote's Recipients step after a registry paste: ten guests pulled into a list, each with their gift and a checked address, the batch priced at $1.99 a card

The cards mail the next business day, or on a later date you pick, up to 90 days out. That suits couples who want to order the whole batch the week the gifts stop arriving and have it land on a set date.

Which other companies sell wedding thank-you cards?

We compared nine others that came up when we searched Google for wedding thank-you cards: four that will mail cards for you, and five card shops that print and ship the box to you. Each is good at something different.

Here is what each one sells, what it costs and how it handles mailing, from the companies that mail to the ones that don't.

Walgreens Photo

Walgreens Photo's Mail-for-Me prints the card in a store and mails it to each guest, addressed, for one price that includes postage: $3.49 a card for a 5x7 postcard on 21 or more, and $4.49 a card for a premium 5x7 flat card on 22 to 80 ($4.00 on 81 or more). Its premium 5x7 flat and folded cards, postcards and Seal & Send cards qualify, and you type each address or import a CSV file. Its cards mail with a Walgreens logo stamp.

Shutterfly

Shutterfly has 484 wedding thank-you designs and a Mail for Me option that addresses, stamps and mails the cards from your Shutterfly address book. Its 5x7 folded thank-you card lists at $3.43 a card on 50 and $2.97 on 100. The Mail for Me fee is $1.49 a card in its business card guide, which says that includes postage, while its help page says postage is additional. Glitter cards, custom envelopes and liners can't be mailed for you.

Snapfish

Snapfish sells 5x7 flat thank-you cards in sets of 20, with envelopes, at $3.85 a card on 40 and $3.15 on 100 (standard cardstock). Its Mail for Me adds addressing and postage for $1.49 a card on that page and $1.54 on the product page, and takes addresses typed in or imported from a CSV template.

Postable

Postable is the other company built around mailing for you: you type your messages, upload your guests' addresses or send them a link, and Postable prints, stamps and mails. Its folded card is $4.59 each on 20 or more, "plus stamp", per its FAQ, so $5.41 mailed with an 82¢ stamp. Our Postable alternatives guide compares it in detail.

Minted

Minted is where many couples go for design: 1,984 wedding thank-you designs, with free recipient address printing on its folded and flat cards. Its 4.25x5.5 postcard is $1.80 a card on 45 and $1.41 on 100, and its folded card $2.62 on 50 and $2.24 on 100. Minted's Mail It For Me is "available in very limited quantities" and appears at checkout only when it is offered; it publishes no fee.

Paper Culture

Paper Culture prints on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Its 6x4.3 flat wedding thank-you card lists at $2.19 a card on 50 and $1.79 on 100, with envelopes and free recipient address printing. Its product page offers Mailed For You at 69¢ plus the stamp, but its delivery options page says the service "is not offered for wedding orders."

Basic Invite

Basic Invite has over 1,400 wedding thank-you designs and lists its cards "as low as 70¢", a price it reaches on 500. On 50 cards its 5.5x4.25 card is $1.40 each and on 100 $1.26, with peel-and-stick envelopes; printing your guests' addresses on them is 40¢ a card more. It mails holiday cards for you, but we found no mailing option on its wedding thank-you cards.

Truly Engaging

Truly Engaging's 4x5.6 thank-you postcard is $1.25 a card on 50 and $1.05 on 100, and mails at the postcard rate. It prints guest addresses free on its folded cards, but not on postcards. It ships wedding stationery to you: its FAQ on invitations says "We do not mail these types of items for you," and its mailing service is offered to businesses.

Zola

Zola's thank-you postcard is $0.99 a card on 50 and on 100, and its folded card $1.59, which comes with free envelopes and your guests' addresses printed from your Zola guest list. It can print a custom note for each guest for 35¢ a card more. Zola ships the cards to you: its FAQ on invitations says "we don't mail anything directly to your guests."

How much should wedding thank-you cards cost?

On 50 cards at list price with the stamp added, cards you mail yourself ran from $1.64 (a Zola postcard) to $4.86 (a Snapfish 5x7 folded card), and services that address and mail them ran from $3.49 to $5.74. ShipNote is $1.99 a card on 10 or more, postage included, and it addresses and mails every one.

So the cheapest cards are the ones you stamp and mail yourself, and the saving is real: on 100 cards, a Zola postcard costs $35 less than ShipNote. What it leaves you is the work. Each card still needs its note written by hand, its guest's address, a stamp and a trip to the mailbox. Our 50-card cost breakdown prices that time against the mailing services, including the ones that write cards with a robot pen.

Two things keep the cost down wherever you order:

  • A postcard no larger than 6 x 4.25 inches takes a 65¢ stamp instead of 82¢. A card in a square envelope costs 49¢ more again. Our guide to wedding thank-you postcards covers when a postcard is the right choice.
  • Order the whole list at once. Most companies here price by quantity, and the step from 50 to 100 cards cut the per-card price at most of them.

Where is another company the better choice?

When you want a folded card in an envelope, a card you sign by hand, or the lowest possible price per card. ShipNote mails a photo postcard with a printed note, which suits a long registry list. It is not the right card for every couple.

  • You want a folded card, mailed for you. Postable mails folded cards in envelopes at $5.41 each with the stamp, and Walgreens Photo's premium folded card is $4.99 a card on 22 to 80 mailed, postage included.
  • You want to sign every card yourself. Order folded or flat cards from Minted, Truly Engaging, Paper Culture or Zola, have the shop print the addresses, and post them.
  • You want the lowest price per card and have the time. A Zola postcard at $1.64 or a Truly Engaging postcard at $1.70 on 100, with the stamp, are the lowest in this table.
  • You want the most designs to choose from. Zola (2,057) and Minted (1,984) listed the most of any we counted.

Whichever you choose, start with the gift list: copy it out of your registry before you order. Our wedding thank-you guide walks through the whole job, and if the note itself is the hard part, our wording guide has examples for every kind of gift.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the best place to order wedding thank-you cards?

It depends on who mails them. To have every card printed with a note to that guest, addressed and mailed with postage, ShipNote does it from your pasted registry list. For a design-led card you stamp and mail yourself, Minted, Truly Engaging and Paper Culture. For the lowest card price, a Zola or Truly Engaging postcard.

What are the best wedding thank-you cards?

The best card is the one that gets mailed with a note that names the gift. For design, Zola and Minted listed the most of any we counted, about 2,000 each; for price, Zola and Truly Engaging postcards; and to have each card addressed and mailed for you from your registry list, ShipNote.

Where can I buy the best wedding thank-you cards?

Online, from the companies in the table above. Minted, Zola, Basic Invite, Truly Engaging and Paper Culture print and ship the cards to you. ShipNote, Postable, Walgreens Photo, Shutterfly and Snapfish can address and mail them to your guests instead.

Which companies mail wedding thank-you cards for you?

ShipNote, Postable, Walgreens Photo, Shutterfly and Snapfish. On October 23, 2026, at list price on 50 cards, ShipNote was $1.99 a card with postage, and the others ran from $3.49 (a Walgreens Photo 5x7 postcard) to $5.74 (a Shutterfly folded card, if its fee leaves postage out). Minted's Mail It For Me is in a limited rollout, and Paper Culture's mailing service excludes wedding orders.

Can I send wedding thank-you cards with a different message for each guest?

Yes. On ShipNote every card fills in its guest's name and gift from your list, and you can rewrite any single card before you pay. Postable's page says you "type your messages", and its Carbon Copy sends one message with each guest's name. Zola prints a custom note for each guest for 35¢ a card more.

Can I order wedding thank-you cards from my registry list?

Yes, on ShipNote. Copy your registry's gift list, paste it in, and each guest's name, gift and any address come out as a row. Write one message and every card fills in that guest's name and gift; edit any card that should say more.

Is it OK to send wedding thank-you cards as postcards?

Yes. A postcard costs less to mail and leaves room for a photo on the front. Our postcard guide covers when a folded card reads better.
