Best Card Sending Service in 2026: What One Card Costs

The best card sending service depends on the card you are sending. For a postcard, or a list of 20 to 100 cards that each name their person, ShipNote prints, addresses and mails each one, postage included. For a folded greeting card to one person, Hallmark's Sign & Send or Cardly. For handwriting, Handwrytten or SignedCards.
We read every price on each service's own site on October 25, 2026, at list price with no promo code, for one card mailed to one US address. ShipNote is our product, and this page compares it with the other services that mail a card for you.
Paste a list or type one name. We print, address and mail every card, postage included.

What does it cost to have one card mailed for you?
For one card mailed to one person, postage included, the two postcards we priced were $2.49 and $2.99, and the cards in envelopes we could price with postage, $4.57 to $9.99, on October 25, 2026. The price on the product page is not always the price in the mail: Postable and Handwrytten add the stamp on top.
The second column is what one card costs once it is in the mail. Where a service bills postage separately, we added the stamp it charges: 82¢ for a card in an envelope.
| Service and card | One card, mailed | As listed | How it goes out |
|---|---|---|---|
| ShipNote, 4x6 postcard | $2.49 | $2.49 with postage; $1.99 each on 10 or more | Printed, addressed and mailed the next business day, or on a day you pick |
| Moonpig USA, postcard | $2.99 | $2.99, free standard shipping | Orders before 2 PM processed the same day; 3–5 working days by First-Class |
| Felt, single-panel card | $4.50, if postage is included | $4.50; Felt's site says it prints, seals, stamps and mails the card, but doesn't say the price includes US postage | "All within 24hrs (Mon-Fri)"; ordered in its app |
| Handwrytten, robot-handwritten card | $4.57 | $3.75, postage extra | Robot-handwritten, then mailed; postage billed at the USPS rate |
| Cardly, 5x7 card | $4.95 | $4.95, free postage to the US | 2–5 business days in the US |
| Hallmark Sign & Send, folded card | $5.99 | The card's price ($5.99 on the card we checked); mailing free | Mailed to them; Hallmark says allow about 7–10 days |
| Postable, folded card | $6.81 | $5.99, plus stamp | Mailed in about 1–2 business days |
| SignedCards, card | $7.99 | $7.99, First-Class mail free | Stamped by hand and mailed; it quotes 3–4 days |
| Moonpig USA, standard card | $9.99 | $9.99, free standard shipping | Same as its postcard |
Hallmark's listing showed other cards from $2.99 to $7.99 the same day, and says it mails its cards free; we put only the $5.99 card through its mail option. Two services that mail cards publish no all-in price for a single card. Walgreens Photo's Mail-for-Me listings say its postcard is "as low as $3.49" and its folded card "as low as $4.49" (its landing page says "as low as" $2.49 a postcard and $4 a card), postage included, without saying how many it takes to get there. Shutterfly's Mail for Me adds an "additional service fee" its pages don't state, and bills USPS postage separately, so its all-in price for one card can't be read until checkout.
When is ShipNote the best card sending service?
When the card is a postcard, and especially when there is more than one person to send it to. ShipNote prints, addresses and mails a 4x6 postcard for $2.49 for one or $1.99 each on 10 or more, postage included. At one card, that was the lower of the two single postcards we priced.
The list is where it differs most. Paste the gift list from a registry, or any list of names and addresses, and every card fills in that person's name, and their gift on a thank-you. You write one message and can edit any single card before it goes. For someone on the list with no address, you get a link to send them, and once they add their address you can mail their card too.
What it doesn't do: folded cards, envelopes, handwriting, or mail outside the US. For those, use one of the services below.
Which other card sending service fits your job?
Match the service to the card: ShipNote for postcards and lists, Hallmark or Cardly for one folded greeting card, Handwrytten or SignedCards for handwriting, Moonpig or Felt for speed, and a photo service for a holiday photo card. No one service is best at all of them, and every one of these mails the card for you.
- One postcard to one person. ShipNote, at $2.49 with postage, the lower of the two single postcards we priced. A thank-you, a congratulations or a holiday greeting all fit; start a card and type the one name and address.
- A folded birthday or get-well card to one person. ShipNote mails postcards, not folded cards, so this one goes elsewhere. Hallmark's Sign & Send mails the card at no extra charge, and Cardly includes the postage in its $4.95. Postable mails folded cards too; its prices and the alternatives are compared in full.
- A list of 20 to 100 cards. Thank-yous after a wedding or a baby shower, or holiday cards to everyone you know. ShipNote is $1.99 a card on 10 or more with postage, $99.50 for 50, and each card fills in its person's name. The 50-card math across every service is on its own page, and we mail thank-you cards for you from a pasted list.
- A handwritten look. Handwrytten's cards are robot-handwritten, at $4.57 with the stamp; SignedCards' listing says it sends a real card "with your handwriting", and it stamps each envelope by hand. For businesses mailing clients, the Handwrytten alternatives, the Simply Noted alternatives and how to send Christmas cards to clients cover the field.
- A photo card for the holidays. Shutterfly, Walgreens Photo and Minted all print photo cards, and Christmas cards cheaper than Minted prices them; whether Shutterfly mails the cards for you depends on its Mail for Me option. ShipNote's holiday postcards take your photo and mail to your whole list.
- It needs to go out fast. Moonpig USA processes orders placed before 2 PM, local time at its shipping site, the same day, and Felt says it mails within 24 hours on weekdays. ShipNote mails the next business day.
Sending to someone in the UK? Moonpig, and the US alternatives to it, cover what crosses the Atlantic.
Should you send a physical card or an e-card?
Send a physical card when it marks something the person will want to keep, such as a thank-you for a gift, a holiday greeting or a sympathy note, and an e-card when it has to arrive within the hour or the budget is zero. A mailed card costs $2.49 to $9.99 here; e-cards cost little or nothing.
Many of the results for "best card sending service" are e-card sites, and the two do different jobs. An e-card is the right call for a forgotten birthday at 6 PM, or a group card that a whole office signs online. A card in the mail is the one that ends up on the fridge. Every service in the price table mails a printed card.
Which card services no longer mail cards?
American Greetings and Punkpost. On October 25, 2026, American Greetings' site offered ecards and cards you print at home, and Cardstore, the American Greetings site that used to print and mail cards, showed a "Cardstore Closing" page. Punkpost, the artist-handwritten service, announced its closure in July 2024.
If a roundup of card sending services still sends you to either, it was written before they stopped. Our Postable comparison has what happened to Punkpost's domain.
$1.99 a card on 10 or more, postage included. Each card names its person.
